Peace Silk | A Quiet Ethical Stance
Peace Silk is a special fabric woven with silk yarns obtained without harming silkworms, placing ethical production at its very core.
The silk used in this weaving comes from silkworms that have completed their cocoon cycle; their life process is not interrupted. Combined with locally produced cotton yarns, it forms a structure that shows equal respect for nature and for human labour.
The fabric is designed by Fırat Neziroğlu, conceived as a contemporary interpretation of Anatolian weaving knowledge through an ethical production philosophy.
Weaving, Balance, and Meaning
In Peace Silk weaving, silk brings light and fluidity to the surface, while cotton calms the structure and gives the fabric a balance suitable for everyday use.
This union creates a character that is compelling without being ostentatious; soft, yet resilient.
Each piece is not merely a technical weave;
it is an expression of respect for process, craftsmanship, and life itself.
Peace Silk is not merely a material;
it is the woven embodiment of producing without harm, narrating through craft, and taking responsibility through design.
